can a brand or business be your 'friend' on social media? forrester say not

If like me you loathe and despise the pathetic attempts of brands and businesses to 'engage' with you on Facebook and LinkedIn, you can now bathe in the warm glow of some research that confirms your prejudice.

The report, by Forrester, tells businesses that their investment in social media is almost certainly at best ineffective and at worst a waste of money.

At a time when some businesses seem to allocate more resource to social media than to research and strategy, it's good to hear some commonsense.
